Los auteurs se pasan al cine de género
Line up de la 48ª edición del Festival de Cine Fantástico y de Terror de Cataluña.
Del próximo viernes, 9 de octubre, al domingo 18, se celebrará una nueva edición, la número 48, del evento más importante a nivel internacional en cuanto a cine fantástico y de terror se refiere. Una vez más, el Festival de Sitges apuesta por aglutinar toda la cosecha del cine género en 10 días sin descanso: más de 150 obras diseminadas en diferentes apartados. El más atractivo, a priori, estará en la Competición. Referentes como Takashi Miike, Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Kiyoshi Kurosawa, Jaco van Dormael, Alex van Warmerdam, Justin Kurzel o Sion Sono lucharán por el máximo galardón con especialistas en estas lides como Eli Roth, Jeremy Saulnier, Keiichi Hara, André Turpin o Bo Mikkelsen. En la line up del Oficial Fantástic también se podrá ver el debut en la dirección de Joel Edgerton, o la película póstuma del polaco Marcin Wrona. El Premio Maria a la mejor película podría ir a parar de nuevo a los centroeuropeos Van Dormael (ganador en 2011 con Las vidas posibles de Mr. Nobody) y Van Warmerdam (en 2013 con Borgman). De hecho, Le tout nouveau testament, como indicamos tras su paso por Karlovy Vary, es la obra perfecta para triunfar en el certamen catalán. Hipótesis aparte, la 48 entrega del Festival de Sitges garantiza el mejor cine también en sus secciones paralelas: Hou Hsiao-hsien (The assassin), Charlie Kauffman (Anomalisa), Andrzej Żuławski (Cosmos), Michael Winterbottom (The face of an angel), Paula Ortiz (La novia), Paolo Sorrentino (La juventud) y Lucile Hadzihalilovic (Evolution) son los reclamos fuera de la lucha por los premios oficiales. Además, Sitges rendirá tributo a Oliver Stone (Premio Honorífico); Nicolas Winding Refn —¿Vendrá con algún anticipo de Neon Demon bajo el brazo?—, Sion Sono, Terry Jones, Rick Baker y el propio Żuławski (Máquina del Tiempo); y Rossanna Yanni (Premio Nosferatu). Un sinfín de atractivos que nos contará nuestro compañero Luis Forero diariamente.
