Ayer jueves se anunciaron las nominaciones de la sociedad de críticos de Denver. Organización fundada en 2009 y que cada Enero otorga sus premios anuales. En las anteriores dos ediciones se alzaron como triunfadoras En tierra hostil (The Hurt Locker, 2009) y La red social (The Social Network, 2010).En esta tercera entrega para como favorita The Descendants con siete nominaciones. Destaca la presencia de Martha Marcy May Marlene en la categoría principal y la ausencia en las candidaturas de Hugo, The Help, War Horse y Midnight in Paris.
