Comienzan ha aparecer los claros en la campaña de premios. The Artist se asoma, ya, como favorita indiscutible en los Óscars tras su barrido en los Critics’ Choice Awards. Cuatro premios (entre ellos mejor película y director) que ponen tierra de por medio con su gran rival, Los descendientes.
Otra de las triunfadoras de la noche fue Criadas y señoras (The Help) con tres entorchados (mejor reparto, actriz principal y secundaria). War Horse se apunta ex-aequo a El árbol de la vida el galardón de fotografía, días después de su no inclusión en el gremio de directores de este apartado. Próxima cita importante: en Inglaterra con las nominaciones a los BAFTA.
