Viernes algo más ligero, en cuanto a novedades, de la campaña de premios. La asociación de críticos de Chicago ha emitido sus nominaciones a sus premios anuales. La Chicago Film Critics Association es una entidad fundada en 1990 por Sue Kinar y es considerada una de las más prestigiosas del panorama cinematográco americano. El año pasado la victoria fue para La red social (The Social Network, 2010).
Para su vigésimo primera edición parten como favoritas: El árbol de la vida con siete nominaciones, The Descendants y Drive con seis y, como no, The Artist con tres menciones de mucho peso.
