No ha sido el mejor año para la animación. Es el titular que se extrae de las nominaciones de la 40ª edición de los Annie, los premios más importantes en este sector. Un buen número de películas de buen nivel conforman este gran listado pero ninguna pasará a los anales cinematográficos. Se añora el dominio creativo de un Pixar algo venido menos. Tan sólo ‘Frankenweenie’, de Tim Burton, pone la nota discordante. ‘Brave’, ‘El origen de los guardianes’ y ‘Rompe Ralph’ lideran las candidaturas con diez menciones. Como única sorpresa aparece ‘The Rabbi’s Cat’ del estudio GKIDS. Favoritos aparentes, ‘Rompe Ralph’ por crítica, ‘El origen de los guardianes’ por impacto mediático.
